Introducing Tanvir: Director of a Dynamic New Estate Agency

Welcome to TKS Real Estate! I’m Tanvir, and I’m delighted to have this chance to introduce myself. With a genuine passion for real estate and a firm commitment to Glasgow’s community, I’m excited and proud to introduce my start-up, a project that’s been in development for a year and a half. TKS Real Estate is an embodiment of me, my values, and what I stand for, and ultimately, I am excited to share that with the world. 

My journey in real estate began with a deep fascination for the industry due to being raised in the west end of Glasgow. I developed a strong appreciation for the city’s diverse architecture. This ranged from its traditional tenement flats and the works of Charles Rennie Mackintosh to the rise of contemporary residential and commercial developments in the city. My subsequent desire to develop a career in the real estate industry stems from this appreciation. I came to understand that property holds immense value for individuals, often representing one of their most cherished assets. Witnessing family members navigate the property market and experiencing their frustrations with estate agents who lacked transparency and effective communication further fuelled my passion for the industry. I was mainly motivated by instances where decisions were made without our knowledge, leading to missed opportunities to acquire properties of interest.

Currently, I am pursuing an RICS-accredited part-time master’s degree in Real Estate at the University of Glasgow, a journey that complements my role overseeing our estate agency. This educational pursuit not only enhances my understanding of the intricacies of the real estate market but also strengthens my ability to effectively serve our clients and navigate the ever-evolving landscape of the property industry.

Another value that is deeply important to me is giving back to the wider community. As a result, I have decided that a minimum of 10% of all profits made at TKS will be set aside to support those in need. Whether that means supporting local initiatives or actively participating in community events, we’re committed to giving back and fostering strong connections with the Glasgow community. The cost-of-living crisis has shown us the importance of helping one another and supporting those who need it most.
